We are a leading crypto-friendly bank headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, with a strong presence in Asia. As we expand our operations in Asia, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team.

This role can be located in Hong Kong or Singapore.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth and expanding our client base in Asia. Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Business Development: Identify and engage prospective clients, including high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors, and corporates, with a focus on the Asian market. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
2. Private Banking Expertise: Leverage your extensive private banking experience and network to attract and onboard clients. Provide personalized financial advice, wealth management solutions, and investment strategies tailored to clients’ needs and risk profiles.
3. Crypto-Friendly Banking: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and genuine interest in the crypto industry. Educate clients on the benefits and risks associated with cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
4. Legal and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures. Collaborate closely with the legal and compliance teams to streamline client onboarding processes and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
5. Mandarin Fluency: Utilize your proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders in the Asian market. Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations in Mandarin when necessary.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

1. Private Banking Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or a related field. Proven track record of managing high-net-worth clients and achieving business targets.
2. Strong Network: Well-established network within the private banking industry in Asia. Demonstrated ability to leverage your network to attract and onboard clients.
3. Crypto Enthusiast: Deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the broader crypto ecosystem. Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the crypto space.
4. Legal and Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with legal and compliance requirements for client onboarding in the banking industry. Experience in navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks related to cryptocurrencies is highly desirable.
5. Mandarin Fluency: Fluent in Mandarin, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in English is also required.
6. Results-Driven: Proven ability to meet and exceed business targets, drive revenue growth, and achieve performance metrics. Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
7. Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
