Lead JavaScript Developer / Open Source

Our core technology is a decentralised and incentivised mixnet that allows integration with third party applications and services to protect users’ data and ensure their privacy at the network level.

Nym is looking for a skilled JavaScript Developer, with a strong Open-Source portfolio. The Lead JavaScript Developer will support the maintenance of existing libraries and legacy documentation. This is a Lead JavaScript role directly supporting the CTO on an array of exciting Open-Source coding.

What you will be doing:

• Support the CTO with all JavaScript development at Nym, working with modern frameworks and libraries.
• Contribute to all open-source projects.
• Learn about blockchain concepts, cryptographic techniques, and decentralised consensus mechanisms.
• Work with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Solve tech problems with the dev team, routinely diagnosing and addressing complex technical challenges.

What you bring to the team:

• Hold a strong Open-Source JS portfolio, showcasing impactful contributions.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude toward teamwork.
• Have experience speaking at tech events and/or are open to doing so in the future.
• Are a “hands-on” self-starter.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
